Worth the watch to at the very least hear what the task force has been up to, and what the professionals are doing... History being made here.

Warnign edit... it is lengthy.

All schools are now closed. Crazy.

I still have to go in :)

Granite School District just said they're going to close until Spring Break, which would have started next Thursday. I expect they'll announce longer here in a couple days though.

I just landed back in Seattle. Weird times. I was traveling on 9/11 and flew back the day flights re opened. The silence on this flight remind me of that day. People seem super stressed and on high alert. Sharing hand sanitizer with everyone around them. Half the people wearing masks and plenty even in latex gloves. Well this is a really big change from one week ago

El Destructo!
All three school districts now closed, all public gatherings cancelled, even city hall and the police station are closed.

I work in a small office, coworkers daughter tested positive yesterday/today. I guess the good news is we will be ahead of the mass infection and hospitals wont be overrun yet if we need help. Awaiting direction from the CDC as to our level of restriction.

Centerville Target Update

We are completely out of bleach, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, napkins, paper towels, and sanitizing/cleaning wipes. We are low on hand soap (people listening, finally) and dish soap. Laundry detergent is holding steady.

Food is picked over - canned food nearly gone, as are most baking staples (other than sugar) and rice/beans. Plenty of chips/snack food, along with drinks (except water), and still a good amount of frozen foods. Completely out of milk, apart from individual chocolate milk.

There was a line this morning at 6am - we open at 7am. TP was gone by 7:30.

Odd times. I'm braving Costco in the morning to get gas and a box (one box, people) of size 4 diapers.

EDIT
Ventured further into grocery. No pasta, no bread/buns, no meats or pre-packaged meat meals. No pasta meals (Mac, pasta sides), no rice of any kind. Crazy.

2nd EDIT
Got yelled at by a woman because we are out of milk. Screeching about how now she can't make yogurt. So sorry for your inconvenience.

Oh, and some jerkwagon co-worker ran off with the Diet Coke that I had in the fridge. Coming up aces...

Since the run on water I finally got motivated to install my reverse osmosis system we pulled when we moved from the last house. I'm embarrassed with how quick it went but at the same time whatever. I'm a water snob and don't like tap.

Lowes I was running low on toilet cleaner (Saturday chores gotta get done...) so while getting the couple parts for the RO system went down the cleaning isle. Basically anything with bleach was gone. I got what I needed and was out before long. I feel like I need to stock up on Dr Pepper because I found while shut in after my surgery that my wife isn't a great enabler.

I don’t get it, I guess it’s a Utah thing. My daughter went to half a dozen stores there for toilet paper. There wasn’t a roll to be had. Luckily she called a girlfriend complaining about it. The friend had just purchased two cases last week(and she lives alone). Crisis averted, she was able to buy a case from her friend.

I was in Smith’s in Bullhead City just yesterday picking up a few items. Absolutely nothing was out of stock. Crowds weren’t bad either. Maybe I should go make a huge haul then make a killing on eBay!

Tell me about this. I buy filtered water by the 5 gallon jug because I cannot abide Magna's terrible excuse for tap water. What setup do you have?

Joking aside, I am really trying to wrap some common sense around the last week.

What's so:

Many professionals are saying "Corona is not as serious as the flu."

The media is saying all sorts of scary stuff. I read in the Times, tonight, according to one study (unnamed, no others named either) it could be as bad a 1.7 million US deaths (how that number, who knows?)

The local and federal Gov'ts are saying, "Shut the F down."

Am I thinking too much into this? I mean, this is how things work, I guess... I'd love it to be 1+1+1=3... but I cannot make sense of it.
Listen to that joe Rogan podcast. His guest is a specialist with the facts that we currently have.

That's cause you older humans are smoking weed in the middle of the hot desert next to a river and casinos. What's to worry about? Monsoons are awesome there.

Where dying here in Utah.
