Also got my bumpstops on the front finished. Here is the frame extension and I used the stock rear rubbers.

Now time for it to see some dirt, hopefully soon.

Finally got to see some dirt. Took it up forest lake yesterday. I was pretty pleased by the way it performed. It sucked only being able to go 55mph getting there though because of the rear driveline vibration. I also need to either get a new power steering pump or get a bigger reservoir and get hydraulic assist put on. That trail was a fun trail.

Glad to see it in action. It's been a long time coming.
Forest Lake it a great trail, especially for shakedown runs. That's where I'm headed when I get my junk back together.

Checked your truck out at the cruiser show. Very nice!

Didnt see where it was covered in here but I wanted to know how you painted the wheels. Did you just spray them and then sand the "chrome" parts?

Also, why all the frame bracing? Do Tacos have a history of cracking their frame?

I sprayed the wheels down with etching primer and then just some rustoleum flat black. They weren't the chrome ones like I have seen just regular aluminum. The frame bracing was done on the front since I torched the suspension off and then ground it smooth leaving the frame material thinner than stock so for added strength since I am running one tons I plated it. The rear was plated because the tacoma's crunch point is right there and it gets bent pretty easy when used for the rocks. Also checked out your rig and it looks like it would be a lot more fun.

Guess I didnt ask my question well enough. How did you keep the "spokes" and rings on the wheels shiny but the rest of the wheel black? Surely you didnt mask all of that did you?

looks like the truck turned out awesome! good to see it out in the dirt.
rear drive line input- is your CV & your ballancing weights on your tube lined up?
Ive slid my splines apart before & forgot to line them back up to where they were balanced
& ended up with a nice shimmy.
