One of my friends in the Air Force said they had a huge alternator/generator that powered their command center from the idling engine. I've seen models with a hard shell on the bed. That would be the ticket.

My dad (@bobn ) had a canary yellow 1970 Opel GT back in the '70's. He competed in SCCA Solo II Autocross events with it, eventually becoming the inaugural E Stock National Champion in 1973. He sold it in 1980 after my sister was born (I've never forgiven her). Growing up with the pictures and the stories, I've always wanted one. There are plenty to be found, and they are not too expensive, its just never been the right time. And owning a Miata already, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to convince my wife that we need another two seat sports car. A boy can dream, though...
