    flat towing np208, c6

I did the tranny in park and t-case in nuetral thing and took it around the block, but everytime I hit the brake to slow down I heard some kind of a light gear grinding sound that was proportionate to the speed I was going. It only happend when I was slowing down quickly. Any ideas why it would...

    flat towing np208, c6

Ok, so do you put the transfer case and tranny in nuetral or just one or the other?

    flat towing np208, c6

I've done a search and read that flat towing with a tow bar requires pulling the rear drive shaft in some cases. I am going to moab and will be attempting to flat tow from camp to the trails. I was wondering if it necessary to pull the rear shaft with a np208 transfer case and a c6 auto...

    EJS 06 - 7Mile & The Pickle

cool pics. What is the rating on the pickle trail now that the "pickle" portion of the trail is now, what appears to be a pile of rocks? I ran it once way back when it first became a trail and have not been back because I heard that it had eroded in that area to the point that the trail had...

    Offroad Expo...

It seemed pretty dead when we went Friday night. The trials bike demo was cool, the kids loved it. We left before the mountain board demo got going, but it seemed like they were doing more wiping out than anything else. I agree, It could have been alot better, but I Got some steering questions...

    skins: material and mounting

I got black, so I'll probably have some expanding in the sun. I guess I just give it a try with the zip ties this go around and see how long I like it. Where do you get the polycarbonate? Does it come in similar colors?

    what is a ttb axle

ttb stands for twin traction beam. it's fords independant front axle found on post 79 ford 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks and broncos as well as rangers and bronco 2's. It is basically two axle housing halfs that pivot and scissor past each other as the suspension travels. They can be easily swapped out...

    skins: material and mounting

Yea, I think the tabs could look better, I am leaning towards cheap and easy right now as long as it's a fairly good alternative. When you zip tied the panels did you make the panels come to about the center of the tubing and drill the holes fairly close to the edge of the plastic?

    skins: material and mounting

I know this is a really old thread, but... I bought some roll plastic for some body panels and keep switching between weather I should weld on tabs or just zip tie the stuff on. Any pics of those who did either or some opinions on what is best would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards...

    Storage for inner shafts

I like the golf club bag idea, never heard that one before. For the front shafts, I am currently using some conduit hold down clamps the size of the shafts and some sheet metal screws through the floor behind the front seats. Not a good idea if you care about your floor at all, but way cheap and...

    Jack stands, tall ones?

Mobile home piers seem to work well if you can find some. Mine range from around 1 1/2 to 3 feet tall, not sure if I have ever seen any 4' though.

    Anyone use an OX locker?

I have an ox in my front dana 44. I have had it for 5 years or so without a single problem, or need for further adjustment with the cable etc. I have seen MANY air lockers with problems on the trail. I don't have experience with the ox for the 60 however. It seems to me that there is less to go...
