No E brake on my conversion. i'm planning to do a line locker which will be great for front digs too.
I read in a Jeffs Bronco Graveyard catalog that you can use rear caliper, pads, and linkage parts from a 79-85 El Dorado, Riveria, or Toronado to retain the E brake.
As for stopping power...
Just bought a 66 Ford Bronco a few weeks ago and have already made some mods. The most needed was a brake job. I first swapped in a dana 44 in the front and put the later model F 150 knuckles and discs on.
After test driving it I found it still wasn't stopping well so I decided to tear...
All in a days work.. I managed to break the inner, outer, and the U joint. I've got a new 35 spline chromo outer I just need to buy the inner, U joint, and drive flange. Probably wont happen before I go to Basic Training though.
I think I'm going to go over to Lil' Moab instead. I've got a bunch of family that wants to go, which makes a trail run difficult. I'll still probably see you guys at the Chevy around noon though.
I'll go Friday with you guys. I've been out there 3 or 4 times and once I find the trail head I can get the rest of the way through. I was thinking of getting down to the Chevron at about 10:30. What do you think?
Your rig was awesome and you looked pretty seasoned. Really made me think about scrapping mine and starting over. Do you have shop in Clearfield? Or do you use SXOR?
Your rig was pretty sweet! looked like it was running well. I had a good time but every time I take my amigo out I realize all the things I dislike about it. Can't wait to build my next buggy.
Rich, I judged the last event in Cedar and would love to help out again. I'm coming from SLC and gas prices suck! How about a free t-shirt and a little mileage reimbursement? I think Ian may be riding down with me too.
I'm going to need a little encouragement and maybe some shop time to rebuild my front suspension. That's the second time I've broke that front shock eyelet and I don't really want to keep limping along, I want a permanent fix
Okay, one more try. Last weekend I ran into, of all things, spark plug trouble! We're going to try it again this sunday. Meet at the Smith's at about 10am if you need directions.
I broke my 30 spline dana 60 front hub this last weekend. I'm looking to replace it with a drive flange.
Does anyone know where i can get a set that isn't expensive or Warn???
I've never been to LM and would like to follow someone out from the Chevron. Is anyone stopping there before they head out? If so what time should I meet you? 9:30ish?
