No the one they gave me was non re-directional, it was counter clockwise only the new 3 spd was re-directional and it had 2 seperate wires that you could switch. Anyways it all worked out.

what if you are going to put it over just plain plywood. I have a utility trailer with plywood walls and I was thinking about using it on the plywood to seal it from rot and make it more durable.

yeah 've been rebuilding it now and I have added probably another 2-3 feet onto the tongue I think the bearings might be going bad too. The guy who gave me the trailer didn't take good care of it. I might have to get some new bearings. I was looking at getting some new or different tires for it...
