Have been doing winter on the rocks for years, since the beginning. Id say everyone should come down anyway and I can be a guide for a few days. Dont know if the dessert trails group actually have enough members to lead that many people or trails.

If your bump stops are correct you should never hit your pan. the 2wd t100 and the 2wd runner/pick up should have similar oil pans. you should be ale to use either, just dont forget the pick up and baffle. Glad you finally got your swap done.

Just remind them that the toyota your driving is more american than the Ford or Dodge they drove to work in(most made in mexico). Most Toyota's built in the last several years are american made. Atleast the one's here in the U.S.

It all depends on weather which trail will be ran. Either way, you can most likley expect carnage and breakage. Last year all but two rigs broke on natural disaster. You should be just fine. Here some pics of Slip lok, west rim/fault line and milt mile. Slip Lock...
