    Street Legal OHV Insurance

I haven’t seen this talked about in a while, and last I looked into it I couldn’t actually find a company to insure my Jeep like they would a RZR for being able to register it as a street legal OHV so I can drive it to trailheads. Has anyone had success here lately?

    Best Transmission Pan Gasket

Need to do a new transmission gasket on my YJ with the 999 auto. Seems there are lots of options for gasket material these days (cork, rubber, felt, lube locker). My current one is more of a plastic material, but it has been a while since I have replaced it I really can't remember exactly what...

    YJ Supercharger

Have been toying with the idea of doing a supercharger on my '93 4.0 YJ. Powertrain is still stock motor, 999 trans and NP231 t-case (motor has been bored out .030, but that doesn't do much). The only things I really need to do is get some more power and eventually swap the stock t-case out for...

    Moab Rim Parking

Its been a long time since I have run Moab Rim during the day. For those that have and trailer your non-street licensed rig, where do you park the tow rig and trailer? The parking at the trailhead is pretty small. Doing night runs it hasn't ever been an issue, but it seems that during the day...

    Dana 60 Front Axle Seal

I have a Dana 60 front out of a 78 Ford dually, and for the life of me I can't get the long side inner axle seal to live more than a few years. Short side never has issues. Been using the standard Dana Spicer 36487. Is there a better option out there? I would even take an outer seal at this...

    F150 air bags

Towed the jeep to and from Moab for the first time with the ecoboost. Towed great and was faster, better mpg, more power and more comfortable than my previous 3/4 ton Hemi powered Dodge. However, the truck did squat more than I would like so considering air bags. The Firestone 2525 setup seems...

    Towing with F150 or Tundra

I know these topics have been covered before, but the threads I found were quite old. Thinking about getting either a 2012-2014 F150 ecoboost or a 2010-2012 Tundra 5.7. The only thing I tow is my jeep on a trailer, less than 7k lbs total, and only a few times a year. For the times I do tow...

    D60 kingpin upper seal

Just installed a pair of Solid knuckles and using the Reid bronze bushings. Once I tightened down on the pre-load bolt, it raised the knuckle up above where the upper kingpin seal will do anything. Anyone seen this before and have some insight?

    YJ full soft doors

Looking for a set of full soft doors to go on my YJ with my Bestop Supertop. PM if you have some you are looking to sell. Once I find some I will be getting rid of my soft half doors and my full steel doors, so if you are looking for those maybe we could work a trade (soft doors are in perfect...

    D60 Knuckle Options

I sheared the studs holding my high steer arm to my passenger side knuckle coming down Chewy Hill the other day. It took some creativity in bolting together two hi lift jacks to make a tie rod to get it off the trail. It looks like one of the studs was already broken, and then the others...

    What trail is this?

I have done every trail in BFE (except for Black Flag), and saw this pic on FB the other day, but for the life of me can't figure out where it is. Any insight? Looks like a cool obstacle.

    Lexan Source

Where can I find a good place to get a clear piece of lexan? 49" x 14". Either 1/8 or 1/4 thick. Going to mount it to my rollcage as a windshield for the trails when I pull my real windshield.

    Quick Removable Jeep Windshield

Looking at options to make my windshield on my YJ quickly removable. Still want to have it for trailering with the soft top up, etc. but want a quick way to pull it for running trails. Have heard of people drilling out the hinge pins and replacing with a 7/16" bolt. Leaning this direction but...

1 trailer tire wearing bad (cupping)

Trailer is a 7k, all tires are load range C. I swapped on the spare (which is a different brand and a bit older) because the other tire had more weather cracking. Now the spare that is on is wearing weird (see pics). The spare is on the passenger side rear. The driver side tires are both looking...

    Trail Gear steering ram leaking

I installed a 10" double ended Trail Gear ram earlier this year. I bought the whole hydro steering system and it was nice that everything was spec'd together, easy install, and up until this past weekend has worked great. The right side rod seal has started leaking. Contacted Trail Gear today...

    YJ flat belly with Atlas?

I have decided that I need some lowering gearing, which makes for a good excuse to do an Atlas. Looking to replace the 231 with a 4.3 two speed. Currently I have the 231 clocked so I have a completely flat belly with no body lift and not cutting into the floor. I did have to do a 1" motor mount...

    Hydro steering ram mount options

In looking at how I am going to fit my ram for my full hydro steering, things are going to be tight, specifically, being able to remove the diff cover and carrier with where I have the ram mocked up at. I think that my options are: 1. Have the ram offset to the passenger side. Currently...

Long brake hard line, where to get?

Looking to replace the hard line that goes from my prop valve to my rear brakes. It looks like I need something about 84" long. All of the local auto stores (Napa, Auto Zone, etc.) only have up to 60". Any places where I could get a piece of 3/16" hard brake line that long?

Jeep Wrangler rear brake hard line fittings

Trying to figure out what size the fitting is that goes into the proportioning valve for the hard line that runs down the frame rail for the rear brakes. It appears as though the line is a standard 3/16" with double flare ends and where the rear soft line to the axle attaches I believe it is the...

    14 bolt brake hard lines

Getting ready to button up my rear axle on my YJ. The 14 bolt that I have didn't come with any brake lines. What size hard line do I need and where is the best place to get it? I need the T (that will fit to the soft line on my YJ) all the way to the calipers (Chevy 3/4 ton discs).
