i need a engine for dirt cheap

I have a complete straight six (4.0) from a 93 YJ (minus the head and intake). Pretty sure it would work but you might have to move the motor mounts and some of the front acc. stuff around and use your old head and what not. 200.00

    93 TJ 4.0 in a 2000 XJ ?

I blew up my 2000 XJ motor and need to swap in another motor. I found a 93 YJ 4.0 HO complete minus the head. Is the block the same ? Other then swapping around brackets and what not it should work right ? And once I install the 2000 Intake on it the computer shouldn't know the difference ? Am I...

So there's this huge elephant in the living room...

I talked to the BP guy (head of a plant) that we buy our jet fuel from (jet fuel and diesel are very close) He says that as refineries are more efficient they make more gas and have less leftover that becomes Diesel. So There is less Diesel per barel then there was years ago. Demand is up all...

Teraflex Plus trail run, 4/18 4/19, Delta!

hmmm well it would take a bit for me to throw on rocker protection on the cherokee (frame stiffners, tubes, blah blah). So maybe I'll just drive my truck down and watch, hmmm...

I may be there. Need to see how this Cherokee really works. Think I can do at least part of it with 33's and only a front locker ?

    Got another one

Still havn't take pics of the links, Sorry but there is a write up on Rockkrawler.com that has some pics. The arms are bolted to U shaped brackets around the uniframe and then to a truss on top of the axle and mounts on the bottom. The coil-over is bolted to a bracket at the top of the rear...

    L.P. D30 woes

Finally did this. Took me all day by myself but was fairly easy minus trying to line the jhonny joints up with the axle in my lap. Owhell Drive angle is a straight shot now and the cabin noise is just from the tires now.

    L.P. D30 woes

It should be pretty straight forward my upper control arm has a wierd bushing (im not home to look at it to close) on the housing that needs to be swapped over but other then that just an easy swap. I just dont want to lay on my back to do it, but I'll probably just do it anyways. Does anyone...

    Machine shop recommendation

The main builder guy at cleggs (roger) is amazing at building engines and i plan to have him rebuild my 455 here soon. The only horror story from cleggs, they hate this story, I left them my 70 442 to work on the motor and one night when the were moving it they accidentaly started it in gear and...

    L.P. D30 woes

Finally getting to this project but the axle is going in the new white jeep. Im not digging the lay on my back all day to do this so what do you think I would have to pay to have a shop swap my axle. Nothing fancy just a basic swap ?

    Paint options?

I have heard that its pretty heavy to do a whole vehicle. Also its hard so if you take a big hit and the sheetmetal underneath bends then that sections cracks, peels, fall off. I saw a Bronco once compleatly done in it at moab and he said it worked ok. I have been thinking of doing the lower 2/3...

Think I would be dumb too.....

Heavy lift helicopter mechanic for Columbia Helicopters (BV107-II (ch46) lifts 11,500 LBS and our B234 (ch47) lifts 32,000 LBS) but due to work I can be a logger or a firefighter at a moments notice. So spend all day flying around in a helciopter built in the 60's that pulls its guts out all day...

Think I would be dumb too.....

Have you seen what I do for a living, im going down early anyways. I still would have a cherokee for the trail so it wouldn't kill that hobby. Im not going to get enough out of the cherokee i would sell to by a Harley or a Big Dog so thats why I was thinking a Rocket. If someone tries...

Think I would be dumb too.....

I was thinking of trading/selling one of the cherokees for a crotch rocket. All my vehicles Jeep, Ford, Olds get a whooping 12-13mpg so a bike for the summer seems like a good move. Looking at a used R6 or R1 or anything else i could get a deal on. Anyone got any current bike knowledge ? I...
